Beijing JJC Technology Co., Ltd. Joins ACERA to Explore Opportunities in Australia’s Energy and Resources Sector

The Australia and Chinese Energy and Resource Association (ACERA) is pleased to welcome Beijing JJC Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “JJC”) as an official member of the Association. This membership marks an important step towards strengthening engagement between Australian and Chinese companies in the energy and resources sector. Both parties look forward to building on this collaboration to explore opportunities in the Australian market and promote practical business cooperation across relevant industries.

Supporting JJC’s Expansion into the Australian Market

From 13 to 18 October 2026, a JJC delegation visited Perth, Western Australia, to engage with local stakeholders across the energy, oil and gas exploration and production, and drilling and well services sectors. The visit provided an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Australian energy and resources industry, assess local market requirements, identify potential business opportunities, and establish connections with local companies and industry organisations.

In preparation for the visit, ACERA undertook extensive planning and coordination, leveraging its role as a bridge between Australian and Chinese businesses. The Association facilitated introductions and engagement opportunities with the local operations and teams of several international energy companies and oilfield service providers, including Shell Australia, Woodside Energy, Santos’ Western Australian drilling and completions team, SLB, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, TASMAN OIL TOOLS, and Transocean. These efforts helped create opportunities for the delegation to gain market insights, build industry connections, and explore potential areas for future collaboration.

The JJC delegation comprised Mr Liu Chen, Executive Director and Vice President; Mr Li Feilong, Chief Financial Officer; and Mr Xiong Mi, Business Manager. During the visit, the delegation met with representatives from Equus, Mitsui E&P Australia, Deepwater/Transocean, CNOOC International Australia, PetroChina International’s Western Australia operations, and Finder Energy, among others. Discussions covered a range of topics, including opportunities in Australia’s oil and gas exploration and production sector, the application of drilling and well technology and equipment, operational requirements, and potential directions for business cooperation.

The visit enabled JJC to further strengthen its understanding of the Australian drilling and well services market and local industry requirements, establish connections with relevant companies, and identify potential areas for further business discussions. It achieved its intended objectives and laid a solid foundation for JJC’s future market development and exploration of technical and commercial partnerships in Australia.

Mr Liu Chen, head of the JJC delegation, expressed his appreciation to ACERA for the extensive, thoughtful and effective support provided in organising the visit. He also expressed his expectation that JJC’s visit and formal membership would serve as a platform for further strengthening cooperation with ACERA and advancing engagement and business opportunities with Australian companies.

Leveraging ACERA’s Network to Promote Practical Australia–China Cooperation

ACERA looks forward to deepening its understanding of JJC’s business operations, technological capabilities and development priorities. By leveraging the Association’s industry network and resources, ACERA aims to provide a more effective platform for member companies to exchange expertise, share technical knowledge and develop commercial partnerships.

ACERA remains committed to fostering engagement and cooperation between Australian and Chinese businesses in the energy and resources sector. The Association will continue to support its members in understanding local markets, expanding industry networks and identifying business opportunities, while promoting long-term, practical and mutually beneficial partnerships across oil and gas, energy technology, equipment manufacturing and related services.
