On Tuesday, the 3rd of December 2024, the ACERA (Australia Chinese Energy and Resources Association) President Mr. Lewis LU, Vice President Mr. Xipo ZHANG and Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Richard CAO met with Mr. John Poynton AO, the Chairman of Strike Energy and Mr. Stuart Nicholls, the Managing Director & CEO of Strike Energy.

Strike Energy is an independent energy explorer and producer, which was founded in 1997 and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2004 (ASX: STX).

Strike has recently become Australia’s newest E&P company after successfully bringing its maiden natural gas project, Walyering, online in September 2023. This completes Strike’s journey from independent explorer to producer, which has not been done in Western Australia for over 10 years.

Strike has a dominant position in the Perth Basin’s Permian Gas Fairway and the recent formed JV partnership with Gina Rinehart-led Hancock Prospecting will boost its potential to grow into one of Australia’s largest onshore gas E&P companies.

Strike Energy top management appreciates ACERA’s mission of serving as a bridge between China and Western Australia, a platform for resource networking, a forum for industry voices, and a home for professionals and experts. ACERA is very pleased and willing to serve as a bridge and link to promote communication and cooperation between Strike and the Chinese gas industry participants, achieving a win-win outcome.
