ACERA Meets Delegation from Guangxi Yuchai Marine and Genset Power to Enhance China–Australia Energy Equipment Dialogue

On 4 December 2025, ACERA President Lewis Lu, Secretary General Phoebe Wan, and Council Member Cancan Kong met in Perth, Australia, with Mr. Zhong Xiaojun, Vice General Manager of Guangxi Yuchai Marine and Genset Power Co., Ltd., along with two accompanying representatives. During the meeting, Cancan Kong and Lewis Lu provided an overview of ACERA’s mandate as a non-profit organisation, highlighting its mission, past achievements in facilitating China–Australia engagement in the energy and resources sectors, and the association’s future focus areas in low-carbon energy, equipment technology, and industry knowledge exchange.

Vice General Manager Zhong Xiaojun presented a brief introduction to the Yuchai’s background. Founded in 1951, Yuchai is the largest independent engine manufacturer in China, with four major R&D centres located in Nanning, Yulin, Jiangsu, and Europe. The representatives outlined the company’s strong technological capabilities and its product strengths in marine power, power generation, and engineering equipment engines. They also shared insights from their global market experience, contributing to a broader discussion on industry developments.

Both sides engaged in a constructive exchange on industry trends, technological development, and the needs for continued dialogue within the China–Australia energy equipment sector. This meeting further demonstrated ACERA’s role as a bridge and platform, supporting ongoing communication between organisations and promoting information-sharing and industry interaction that benefit the broader energy community.

2025 年 12 月 4 日，ACERA协会会长Lewis Lu、秘书长Phoebe Wan及理事 Cancan Kong在澳大利亚珀斯共同会见了来自中国广西玉柴机器有限公司的副总经理钟晓军先生，以及两位随行代表。理事 Cancan与 Lewis Lu 向玉柴代表团系统介绍了 ACERA 的重要职责、行业使命、历年在中澳能源及资源领域取得的成绩，并阐述了协会未来在低碳能源、装备技术与产业协同方面的重点关注方向。

会面中，玉柴代表团简要介绍了企业基本情况，玉柴创立于 1951 年，是中国规模最大的独立发动机制造商，拥有位于南宁、玉林、江苏及欧洲的四大研发基地，具备强大的自主技术研发能力，以及其在船舶动力、发电动力和工程装备动力等领域的技术特点。代表团也分享了其在全球市场的经验与观察，供双方交流行业发展趋势。

双方围绕中澳能源装备领域的产业动态、技术发展方向以及行业间交流需求进行了友好沟通。此次会面进一步发挥了 ACERA 的桥梁与平台作用，有助于促进两地企业与机构在信息、技术和行业发展层面的互动，为持续推动中澳能源领域的专业交流与沟通提供支持。
